This is the last weekend for the Love of Reading fundraiser at Chapters Indigo! Have you watched the video yet? Please look at Monday's blog post!
I need your help! Can you collect some natural items this weekend if you are out and about for a walk? We need leaves, sticks, stones and pine cones!! Thank you! Please send items in a grocery or ziplock bag!
- Wednesday was Orange Shirt Day. We attended a virtual assembly hosted and created by the Grade 3 Students. We listened to the stories "Stolen Words" by Melanie Florence and "When We Were Alone" by David Robinson.
- We read the book "A Family is a Family is a Family" by Sara O'Leary, had a discussion about our families and who we live with and drew pictures of our families. Students participated in a directed drawing session on how to draw people.
- We read the book "Being You" by Alexs Pate and created our own I AM statements. We then created a patterned colour art piece for our classroom.
- We worked on representing the numbers 8, 9 and 10 in our math journals
- Science experiment Friday - ask your child about the "touch bag" experiment. We learned about the word "hypothesis" and drew detailed sketches of the items we discovered
Coming Up Next Week:
